Vindicta now available!
Vindicta is now available on Steam. The standard price of the game is $29.99, but it's currently 33 percent off, so you can pick it up for the low, low price of $20.09. This is a new VR shooter coming from Game Cooks for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. One of the unique things that Vindicta is bringing to the table, is the fact that the game offers an arm-swinging locomotion style. Although arm-swinging locomotion can leave you a bit tired after awhile, the level of immersion improves to some degree, and your ease of mobility is off the charts.
There are two different arm-swinging mechanics on offer. One locks your movement direction to where you're looking. You swing your arms back and forth like you're jogging, and you'll move in whatever direction you're looking at. While this version works quite well, it doesn't allow you to move rapidly in one direction, while looking at the other side of the room and raining gunfire upon the evil robots. The other option, is moving in the direction that your arms are facing, but your head is completely decoupled from the movement. This is my preferred method. In fact, I might even go far enough to say that this form of locomotion is the star of the show. I literally feel as though I'm rollerskating around the evil UB Industries facilities like Heather Graham in Boogie Nights! It's so silky smooth! It's so effortless. Well, maybe not effortless. Your arms do start to get a bit tired after awhile. I guess the upshot is that this could be one of the most enjoyable accidental exercise games you'll come across.
