L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files is a surprise announcement from Rockstar games. The game is coming this December 15th for the HTC Vive. Rumors had been swirling that a VR version of this game was in development, but we find out that VR Case Files is a specialized product designed to take better advantage of VR's capabilities. Seven cases from the original game were hand-picked to best demonstrate the power of Virtual Reality when combined with a AAA property like L.A. Noire. Take 2 Interactive, like many other major publishers, need to occasionally take a risk on an unproven market like Virtual Reality. No publisher as huge as Take 2 can afford to be caught with their pants down if VR takes off.
