Since the earliest days of computer games we've been trying our best to convince ourselves that we are the actual space pilot, sitting in the actual cockpit. We've used various flight sticks, and multi-monitor setups, but no matter how elaborate, it just doesn't compare to experiencing the real thing. Now that we have Virtual Reality and games like EVE: Valkyrie, we are closer than ever to that dream. I'll never forget the very first time I was navigating my ship through an asteroid field, while also taking on enemy fighters. It's the closest I've ever been to entering the world of a Sci Fi movie as a fighter pilot. The only real complaint I can voice about this game is the sparse single player offerings and the hefty price tag.
