One thing you need to know about Doom 3 BFG VR is that the VR part of it is unofficial. If you have the game, there is a mod that you can add, that will then allow you to play it in VR on your headset. This works for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, but you can't buy Doom 3 BFG on the Oculus Store. Even though the game is around 15 years old, it seems like it was built from the ground up for VR. You're walking around these dark, creepy corridors. Lights are flashing on and off everywhere you look. Steam is being shot out of vents on the side of the wall. You almost feel like you're inside an Aliens movie. It's one thing to play a game like this on a flat monitor, from the safety of your living room, but it's another ballgame entirely, when you feel like you've physically stepped inside that world.
