The current VR landscape features only a handful of smash hits. Super HOT, Skyrim VR, Robo Recall and Fallout 4 VR are a few that immediately spring to mind. We'll, you can safely add Beat Saber to that category. Hyperbolic Magnetism was going for a very specific vibe and feel with this game, and they delivered on nearly every front. I remember watching mixed-reality videos prior to release and thinking that if Beat Saber's half as good as it looks, then it will be an absolute sensation. Well, it's not only half as good, it's all the way there. The game is just a blast to play, whether you're playing for 15 minutes or an hour and a half. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it's only a rhythm action game, so it can't quite be everything to everybody. Still you'll be hard pressed to find another VR game that can make you grin and smile in quicker fashion!
